  • If you need immediate medical care, you can open the chat whenever you need it and your Personal doctor will assist you; if they are not available, someone on their team will assist you.

What can the "Personal doctor" help me with?

Your "Personal doctor" is a trustworthy healthcare professional who works continuously and in a personalised way to ensure an optimum health. You can consult them whenever you want to clear up any doubts or concerns you may have. In addition, they will guide you to arrange a face-to-face consultation with a reference specialist in your city/town.

What happens if my doctor is not available?

Another doctor on their team will assist you, who will have access to your medical history.

If I schedule a virtual consultation with my doctor, will they contact me directly?

Your "Personal doctor" will contact you at the time you scheduled the consultation. If you want to contact them without having scheduled an appointment, the consultation will start within five minutes of requesting it.

What is the healthcare assistant's function? What can they help me with?

Your healthcare assistant will provide you support and take care of the procedures you need, either to request an appointment in medical centres or facilitate the authorisation process.

In addition, you will have a chat service or "wall" available (in the "help" section of the app's home page and in the "My insurance" section) to ask any question you may have in relation to managing your insurance. Your health queries will be directly answered by your "Personal doctor".

Who is responsible for referring me to other specialists?

After a first consultation with your "Personal doctor", you will be offered three options to choose the specialist you want to visit. If the selected doctor has the option of requesting the appointment online, you will be able to schedule the in-person consultation at that same time. If you need to request it by phone, the healthcare assistant will be responsible for calling the medical centre to schedule an appointment with you according to your and the doctor's availability.

Can I schedule an in-person consultation with medical specialists?

Yes, but it will be your "Personal doctor" who will guide you to which professionals or centres to attend based on your health problem.

What happens if I have a medical emergency?

If you need to contact our 24h emergency service, you have the following options:

  1. Speak to your Personal doctor via chat or video call.
  2. Call our emergency telephone number.
  3. View the emergency medical centres closest to you.
  4. If you are abroad, you can call our helpline for medical assistance abroad.

Is there a maximum number of video consultations one can hold with a doctor?

No, they are unlimited. You can carry out as many video consultations you need.

What information can my doctor see?

Your doctor has access to the documents you have personally uploaded to your "Medical history", as well as to all the reports or tests included in the health folder by any doctors who have assisted you.

Can I continue using it if I am abroad?

Of course! You can use the Personal Doctor digital service when abroad by using your app. You will enjoy our clinical criteria and care at all times and from anywhere, provided that there is coverage and you have Wi-Fi connection.

What is the health folder?

All the documents related to your personal health will be stored in the "My Health" section of the Personal Doctor app. These include: tests, medical reports, prescriptions, etc.
