CT-guided percutaneous radiofrequency thermoablation
For treating Osteoid Osteoma and other selected benign bone tumours. 6-month waiting period.

Advanced endoscopic surgery
Radiofrequency ablation of Barrett's esophagus (BE) with high-grade dysplasia (HGD) and of extensive low-grade dysplasias (LGD) of more than 5 cm (confirmed anato-pathologically). 6-month waiting period. Only in centres included in the "DKV Network of Healthcare Services"

Carto navigation or 3D mapping system, non-fluoroscopic. 6-month waiting period.

Diagnostic tests

Computed tomography (CT) colonography or virtual colonoscopy
To detect polyps, colon cancer and inflammatory bowel disease in people at risk, based on commonly accepted protocols. Only in centres included in the "DKV Network of Healthcare Services"

High-resolution contrast-enhanced digital mammogram
New functional imaging test that detects the network of vessels that forms at the start of a tumour and provides an improved diagnosis of the carcinoma.

Expanded diet and nutritional advice to cancer patients
If prescribed by an oncologist or endocrinologist. Up to 20 consultations per insured person, which also includes consultations due to overweight and obesity covered by the policy, and a maximum reimbursement of €40/consultation (in external services with reimbursable policies). Exclusively for the individual modality.
