Dental service: access requirements
The dental service for MUFACE mutual society members has specific access requirements:
-
If the dental treatment is included in the agreements signed between MUFACE and the insurance companies, it is not possible to ask for these benefits.
-
A request for a dental service must be accompanied by several documents. The first document is the bill provided by the specialist who carried out the treatment. In addition, the MUFACE mutual society member must submit the report of the doctor who prescribed the treatment.
-
The bill must contain the item description, prices, and proof of payment or a payment receipt.
-
The dental service does not cover teeth, caps, crowns, dentures, or temporary fillings. Similarly, it does not cover any temporary repair work to dentures.
-
In the treatment of dental prostheses and orthodontics, clinical procedures such as prosthesis and orthodontic devices will be covered.
-
Even if they are not included on the bill, fillings, caps and tooth reconstruction will be included in root canal treatment.
-
The limit for osseointegrated implants is 12 implants. This subsidy is compatible with that for teeth.
-
Assistance for orthodontic treatment will only be granted if the treatment started before the age of 18 years. It must be carried out in a single treatment. If the mutual society member or beneficiary was over the age of 18 years on the date of the bill, the medical report must indicate the date on which the treatment started.
-
Dental services for teeth, fillings and root canals are limited to twelve subsidies per beneficiary and calendar year.
The right to the dental services will expire 5 years after the date of the bill. You can interrupt this period by submitting a claim to MUFACE or on the grounds stipulated in Article 1973 of the Civil Code.
MUFACE mutual society members can present a request through the electronic office or at any of the MUFACE provincial services and representative offices. The official request form must be used.
