How can I request the GP or paediatrician home service?
With DKV insurance, you can request a home service when, due to the condition of the ill person, going to a consultation or hospital centre is not advisable from a medical point of view.
Also, home visits from a nursing assistant are possible if prescribed by a doctor from the corresponding DKV Network of Healthcare Services, according to the modality contracted.
A prior written prescription from the doctor attending the insured person is required beforehand.
You can see professionals that offer home visitsby selecting the speciality and the corresponding address.
DKV also offers the following home care coverage:
-
Home tests in situations equivalent to level 2 dependency (severe dependency), max. 2 blood collections/year. This includes blood collection at the insured person's home, only through the associated network arranged by the entity "DKV Network of Healthcare Services", subject to a doctor's prescription and the required company's authorisation, provided that a situation equivalent to level 2 dependency is certified by a medical report.
-
Physiotherapy at home after hospitalisation, in situations equivalent to level 2 and 3 dependency, max. 20 sessions/year. Physiotherapy at the insured person's home after hospitalisation of over 24 hours, only through the associated network arranged by the entity "DKV Network of Healthcare Services", subject to a doctor's prescription and the required company's authorisation, provided that a situation equivalent to level 2 or 3 dependency is certified by a medical report.
Situation equivalent to level 2 and level 3 dependency:
-
Level 3 dependency (high-level dependency): when the insured person is unable to travel abroad due to total disability.
-
Level 2 dependency (severe dependency): with difficulty in travelling abroad without continuous support or supervision of a third party.
