Mar Guerrero

Palma, 1991.

She studied an MFA in artistic production in Valencia and an Erasmus year in Nantes.

She carries out specific projects in the field of arts, humanities and astronomy. She investigates the symbolic relationships between reality and fiction, as well as the concepts of error and failure in relation to historical thought models, whose continuity is perceptible in the contemporary productive and visual consciousness. She reflects on time, straining concepts such as dispersion and speed with those of duration and temporary experience. This is how she questions the use of spaces and objects, linking ideas related to renovation and disposal with those related to reactivation and resignification and basing her work on seemingly insignificant elements and events. She uses the traces of a society that is constantly evolving towards something new in order to produce an archaeology of time that she investigates using the memory of spaces.

Her work has been exhibited collaboratively in Sabadell, Nirox Foundation and the DKV Collection.
